I have never been the artist who has been able to be confounded to one creative box. To be honest, this is something I’ve struggled with for a longtime. I’ve allowed my head (aka ego) to lead, often telling me, in the Pinterest Perfect world, “How can you convey my message working with so many different mediums? How will you be able to combine your love of paint, illustration, and teaching to create a cohesive brand? It will never be as neat or pretty as everyone else’s brand.”
But overtime, something inside started to shift. I wasn’t everyone else. I was Jenn Taylor, and I didn’t need Pinterest Perfect social media feeds. I didn’t need to focus on just one medium. Instead, I did what most artists do — I followed my heart and intuition. I stopped worrying about what I thought others would think, and did what felt right to me. If that meant painting one week, and then drawing on illustrator the next week, so be it. I was going to do just that. And I did.
Today marks a big day for me — making my dreams a reality. No matter what the outcome is, I am so proud to put my coloring pages out into the universe! I am so excited to get to share these with your all!
Now grab come crayons, colored pencils, or markers, and let’s color!
